T-Mobile is desperate to retain its customers. If you are a current T-Mobile customer and call to cancel your service they may offer you the HTC One S for FREE to keep you (Results vary, some only get it for $75, but that is still a steal). You must be within 180 days of your contract expiration to have a hope of getting this. Thank god for the retention department...

Here is a useful comment from the slickdeals discussion

"I just called RETENTION. I have been a customer for 4 years via Family Plan (2 years). My contract is up in July...

Got 2 (two) FREE HTC One S with all fees/tax/activation/etc waived + overnight shipping!!!

Thanks OP
**With 2 year renewal**"

here is another

I was out of contract since Apr-12. I called them and asked for Retention. The best deal which the rep was telling me was $249. I told her that my friend got it for free, So she put me on a brief hold and came back saying We can't make the phone free but I can give you $200 credit and you have to get $50 back by MIR. I am able to see the credit in my account and they will charge me in next billing cycle for other charges (Upgrade Fees + Taxes). Thanks and Repped.

This is a great deal considering the best current price is at Costco for $189.99 and that is for new customers.

FYI T-mobile's number is 1-800-937-8997
